About

Read below to discover the passion that ignited Bible Application Ministries.
James 1:22 tells us to be doers of the word, and not hearers only. This ministry is dedicated
to assisting people in performing the good works that God has prepared them to do.

Background

Bible Application Ministries officially came into existence in July of 2018 by Josiah Sparks. Josiah had been researching and teaching from the Bible every year since 1980, viewing it as the ‘book of life’ to assist Christians in finding true meaning and purpose for their life here on earth.

Through this journey, Josiah discovered that knowledge of the scriptures is simply a means to an end, with the destination being for man to build a personal relationship with God as his Father and with Jesus Christ as their Lord.

As a result of this realization, Josiah formed this ministry to assist people, not just in learning about the Bible, but in understanding their important and unique role in service to God by way of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Vision

God has equipped each of us with unique talents and abilities so we can experience success throughout our earthly journey.

The primary purpose of Bible Application Ministries is to assist each individual in the discovery of what God’s personal plan is for their life. So that, through a knowledge of the scriptures, along with their personal relationship with God their Father and Jesus Christ their Lord, they will perform the good works that God has prepared them to do.

"For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance so that we would walk in them."
Ephesians 2:10 REV

Strategy for Mission Trips:
When doing mission work on the field, the normal procedure of Bible Application Ministries (BAM) is to schedule 3 or more full days of Bible training to a small group of 10 to 20 individuals. Meetings containing more than 20 people is highly discouraged so that the instructor can get intimately involved with each person being trained. Question/answer periods are given to the students. Small group sessions also take place where the students discuss what they have learned with others. A designated person from each small group will then get up to share in front of the whole class.
Students are required to cover their own travel expenses to and from the event and also pay a small registration fee to cover expenses for meals and the materials they will be given to take home with them. A diploma will be handed out upon class completion.

Training Centers:
Training centers are being planned in countries around the world in order to provide a convenient location for people to take the 'Rise Up to the Call" and "Rise Up with the Son" courses (see #2 and #3 in the 'Action' column.)
Land has already been provided in several countries for these training centers. BAM is now praying for the funds to build these structures that will house up to 30 students so people can be trained and live onsite for 1 to 2 weeks of uninterrupted training. WiFi and a projector will be installed so so that instructors will be able to do the training online if needed.

Action

Below are the action items currently being implemented to execute the 'Vision' that was discussed just to the left of this column:

1. Produced a 12-session teaching series called “Abounding in the Good Works of God” to assist people in understanding God’s unique purpose for their life and to equip them with valuable information from the Bible to assist them in carrying it out. These sessions are available for free in video, audio and text formats from this website.

2. "Rise Up to the Call" training classes to be held in countries around the world to groom committed disciples for our Lord Jesus Christ so they can in turn disciple their fellow countrymen as outlined in 2 Timothy 2:2.

3. "Rise Up with the Son" educational classes for young people to help guide them in building a personal relationship with God and instilling confidence within them to read and understand the Bible on their own.

4. Live Bible teachings on Facebook produced every week from the 'Bible Application Ministries' Facebook page. ('Like' this page to get notified.)

5. Hosting an online bible fellowship using Zoom every Sunday morning at 10:00 am Eastern Standard Time (EST). www.zoom.us/j/640043383.
